The European Youth Chess Championship 2026 will take place from 2-13 November 2026 in Hersonissos, Crete, Greece.
How to reach Hersonissos, Crete?
All the players, coaches, delegation representatives and accompanying persons are adviced to travel to/from the Heraklion International Airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” (IATA: HER) which is within a short driving distance to the Official hotel of the tournament and tournament playing venue.
According to the tournament schedule, the arrival day for all the players, delegation representatives and accompanying persons is 2nd of November, 2026. The departure day is 13th of November, 2026.
Transfer to/from the Heraklion International Airport
The organizer will arrange the transfer for participants and accompanying persons from the Heraklion International Airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” to the official hotel only on the arrival day (2nd November) and back on the departure day (13th November). The transfer will be free of charge for all accredited persons and players who have paid the registration fee for the tournament.
